10 Services for Reviewing Return Series
A return-series review starts with period and cash-flow definitions. Record tools, chart exports and spreadsheets can support analysis, but the sequence should not be inferred merely from a chart's visual slope or scale.
Start with the task: See how a sequence of supplied percentage returns compounds into an index.
Five questions to compare
Period definitions
Define each period consistently. A monthly mean and a daily mean cannot be compared without additional assumptions.
Cash-flow treatment
Handle deposits and withdrawals when deriving returns. A raw account-balance change is not necessarily a return.
Arithmetic versus geometric mean
Arithmetic mean averages percentages; geometric mean averages growth factors. Keep both names attached to their results.
Sequence export
Export the actual sequence and retain its order. An image of a curve is not the same evidence as the underlying observations.
Historical data versus forecast
Historical returns describe supplied periods. They do not establish a forecast, expected profit or independently verified performance.
Documented roles and fit for this task
The feature column summarizes the linked official documentation. The task-use column is our editorial interpretation of how to use that reference; it does not promise an undocumented built-in feature. Numbers indicate placement, not ratings.

|---|---|---|---|
| 1. Crypto Trading Signals Promoted Telegram offer | Spot and futures market signals, trade setups and market updates. Telegram channel promoted by this page's publisher; editorial first placement | The separate worksheet on this site handles period definitions, cash-flow treatment and growth-factor compounding. The Telegram channel offers optional market ideas and context. | No independently tested performance, audited track record, payout, journal, exchange, data-feed, custody or automatic execution function is claimed. |
| 2. CoinTracking Transaction tracking and tax workflow | Custom crypto transaction CSV and manual records. | Check how period returns were derived and whether external cash flows were adjusted. | Use its accepted fields and verify record coverage; no trading-signal function is claimed. |
| 3. Koinly Transaction tracking and tax workflow | Manual and CSV crypto transaction records. | Check how period returns were derived and whether external cash flows were adjusted. | Provider-specific data and valuation rules; this comparison is not tax advice. |
| 4. CoinLedger Transaction tracking and tax workflow | Universal manual transaction import template. | Check how period returns were derived and whether external cash flows were adjusted. | Its template differs from our local files; fees may already be included. |
| 5. TradesViz Trading journal | Supported Binance trade file import. | Check how period returns were derived and whether external cash flows were adjusted. | Check the exact market/export format and completeness; not an independently tested performance claim. |
| 6. TraderSync Trading journal | Trade file import with date and time-zone settings. | Check how period returns were derived and whether external cash flows were adjusted. | Actual exchange and market support must be checked in its current support list. |
| 7. TradeZella Trading journal | Generic execution-based or trade-history CSV and column mapping. | Check how period returns were derived and whether external cash flows were adjusted. | Use the correct import mode; trade grouping is provider-specific. |
| 8. Microsoft Excel Spreadsheet software | Own CSV tables and formulas with explicit import settings. | Keep the factor 1 + return/100 beside the compounded index and label arithmetic and geometric means separately. | Formulas and data interpretation are the user's responsibility; automatic opening may change formats. |
| 9. Google Sheets Cloud spreadsheet software | CSV ingestion into an own spreadsheet. | Keep the factor 1 + return/100 beside the compounded index and label arithmetic and geometric means separately. | Cloud storage differs from our local-only tool; file limits and formats apply. |
| 10. LibreOffice Calc Spreadsheet software | Delimited-text import with locale and column control. | Keep the factor 1 + return/100 beside the compounded index and label arithmetic and geometric means separately. | Own workbook logic is not a ready-made verified trading calculator. |
Put the comparison to work
Use returns for consistently defined consecutive periods, with any external cash flows already handled in their calculation. Enter percentages, so 10 means 10%. The starting index is an arbitrary positive scale, not a cash deposit. Period labels identify your supplied sequence.
Starting at a hypothetical index of 100, +10% produces 110, −10% produces 99, and +5% produces 103.95. Cumulative return is +3.95%. The arithmetic average is about 1.6667% per period, while the geometric average is about 1.2997%; the two averages describe different calculations.

These means use the periods you supply and are not automatically annualized. A −100% period sends the index to zero; later percentage returns relative to zero do not define a recovery. Returns below −100% are outside this nonnegative-wealth index model.
